Working with High School Students

After completing this module, you should be able to:

1. Compare the developmental, academic, and communication needs of high school and college/postgraduate researchers to develop strategies that address those differences.

2. Distinguish key academic, social, and developmental characteristics of NCSSM’s gifted student population from those of high school students in general, in order to tailor mentoring strategies effectively.
